FinnCaulfield is the music moniker and pen name of Jared. His biological father's last name is Dunne. When his mom remarried, his last name became Regan. After graduating high school he found out that he was never legally adopted so he went back to Dunne. He recently found out that his biological father's last name is actually not Dunne. Jared is FinnCaulfield, a nod to his two favourite coming-of-age literary characters, Huckleberry Finn and Holden Caulfield.

Over the course of his life, he has spent equal time in Columbus, Ohio, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Denver, where he currently resides.
